Cover Reveal: Rise of the Storm
Maybe I’m biased, but I think it’s awesome. Ida at Amygdala Designs made it and she’s been a joy to work with. I’m not at all artistic myself, so my instructions were vague, along the lines of “guys in armor, Germanic-looking castles, war and mayhem? Oh, and a winged hussar or two would be great.” She did ask for a lot of info about the story and genre up front- she clearly knows what she’s doing. I’m very relieved. Also, did not break the bank. And yes, winged hussars!
Needless to say, I’m very excited and am anxious to get Rise of the Storm published by month-end, I hope. Now that I have an idea of what it should look like, I’m already daydreaming up images that will go on the Valley of the Shadow cover. It will be cool. And of course, I’ll be using Ida again. She’s also got gorgeous pre-made covers that are super-affordable. Unlike many other designers, she doesn’t charge extra for a print version.

This is SO exciting! It’s real now, isn’t it!
Yes, it makes it seem almost tangible. Like it might be a real book pretty soon!
Amazing! Can’t wait to read it–I need something to read on vacation!
Thanks! Eeek- I hope I can get it done in time. 🙂
I love it! It looks great! I will definitely consider having her design my cover. I am hoping to publish something by the end of this year.
Thanks! Her price was much lower than anyone else I considered, which was a huge plus. I was surprised because I thought the samples of her work were nicer than a lot of the more expensive ones.
Hope you get yours out this year!
