The Great Giveaway Continues, plus Interview!

I must confess that I’m blown away by the response to my 5-day free promo. I signed up for as many free promo sites as I could, then worried it was all a waste of time, since so many won’t guarantee you a spot if you don’t pay them. I guess it wasn’t a problem. By midnight last night, I’d given away 397 free books and am currently sitting near the top of two categories. (click to enlarge image)

Needless to say, I’m stoked. Now we’ll see if the trend can continue. I’m having trouble getting anything done due to constantly refreshing my Amazon sales page. Need to get that under control. πŸ™‚

As if that weren’t enough, the lovely Amy Braun of Β Literary Braun interviewed me on her blog yesterday. You can read it here. She’ll review Rise of the Storm on her blog tomorrow, so I’m very excited about that as well.

It’s nice to get the book into as many hands (onto as many kindles) as possible!

    • Aw, thanks! I loved Amy’s interview questions, so that made it easy. Sure, I’ll do a piece for you. Maybe in early August? I just don’t have a clue as to what topic. Maybe we can brainstorm something.

    • I submitted to about 20, Many of those didn’t guarantee anything unless you paid, but I stuck with the free options on all of them. These were the ones who were good to me:
http://free99books.com- I actually came out in their subscriber email
      http://www.ebooklister.net
      It’s Write Now
      Ignite your book
      Book Preview Club
      Ebookasaurus
      The book circle

      http://bookangel.co.uk

I also used Bk Knights on Fiverr, just the simple kindlebook promo. I’m cheap, as you can see. If I start making some decent money, I’ll be willing to shell out to promote, but probably not until the next book is out.

I’m mostly hampered because I don’t have enough reviews to qualify for a lot of the other sites. Hopefully that will change by the time I run my next promo!

  1. If you ever write something involving Peter the Great, I will DEFINITELY read it. (I’m definitely reading this current book of yours, too. Just wanted to emphasize my love for Russian history, though!) Anyway, good luck with your writing! I’m available for any beta reading you need. πŸ˜€

    • Good to know I have at least one Russian-themed reader. πŸ™‚ It’s been ages since I’ve read anything about Peter the Great, but I was recently reading a book about Sweden’s military golden age, and the war between Peter and Karl XII, both of them very interesting characters. That always gets the brain humming.:-)

The next book will be ready for beta by the end of September, I hope. I’ll definitely keep you on the list. Oh, and do you want a free paperback of Rise of the Storm? It’s a beta reader perk. πŸ™‚
